data recovery, recover lost data, data recovery software, recover deleted data
Compared with Windows XP in security, Microsoft’s latest operating system Windows 7 is greatly improved. However, it is improved very little in U disk virus prevention. Our Windows 7 usually encounter data loss or data damage caused by virus which hides in U disk. Today, I introduce several methods for preventing virus.
1. Close AutoRun function
Sometimes, when we just start to use U disk, Windows 7 is immediately be infected by viruses. Why does it happen? It is because the viruses in U disk make use of the Windows AutoRun function. To solve such a kind of problem, we must close AutoRun function. How to close the AutoRun function? We can click “Start” menu in Windows 7, and then enter “gpedit.msc” command in search box. After entering “Group Policy” window, we open the “local computer policy – computer configuration – management template – system” option on the left window, and then double click the “close AutoRun” under “settings” title on the right window to set.
2. Open U disk through right shortcut menu
U disk virus is likely to have boot program, so we may suffer virus invasion when double clicking to open U disk. And for this reason, we should try to avoid directly opening U disk through double clicking U disk, and we should use the right shortcut menu to open U disk. Thus, we prevent U disk virus from automatically running when we open U disk.
3. Modify registry
Besides using right shortcut menu, we can also modify registry to prevent virus from automatically operating. Firstly, we enter Regedit in search box of Windows 7 Start menu, and then click Enter to open registry editor. After finding HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/MountPoints2, right click MountPoint2 option to choose permission, and limit the visiting permission of this key. By this way, we prevent the virus invasion.
4. Create Autorun.inf folder
Creating Autorun.inf folder is a skillful method, because most viruses spread through Autorun.inf folder. Therefore, as long as we create Autorun.inf folder in each partition, virus can’t create similar folder when invading. If virus invades our computers through deleting our folders and recreating folders, we can set the Autorun.inf folder as Read Only, Hidden, and System File to prevent virus.
5. Data recovery software – MiniTool Power Data Recovery
What can we do if the methods above are all invalid? Virus invasion is nothing but causing problems like data loss. When facing data loss caused by virus invasion, we can employ the data recovery software MiniTool Power Data Recovery to recover lost data. As data recovery is the last firewall to prevent virus, data recovery software must have high security, complete function and powerful data recovery ability. Finally, it must support Windows 7 data recovery. Therefore, the excellent data recovery software MiniTool Power Data Recovery may be the most suitable data recovery solution.
Windows 7 already has powerful cyber virus prevention function, adding the above U disk virus prevention measures, we can ensure system security to the largest extent. Is your system safe enough? You may as well use the security measures above.
